Classes for Children Ages 9-13
SPRING 2021 COVID UPDATE
Due to the pandemic, we are offering a general in-person class for ages 10-18 at various times each week. This wide-ranging class will allow students to continue their training in specific areas of interest as they receive instruction on a one-on-one project basis.
Choose one of these times when registering:
Class size will be limited to 15 students and two teachers per class to ensure social distancing. Masks are required to be worn indoors at all times by all students and teachers.
If a class reaches full capacity your name will be put on a waiting list.
If you have any questions, please call us (651) 699-1573.
Thank you for your interest.
Students ages 9-13 build skills through drawing, pen and ink, and watercolor. Tonal studies in pencil, colored pencil, charcoal and pastel are other options to improve students’ abilities. Eventually, students advance into oils.
Above all, we offer a variety of classes to suit your pre-teen's growing and changing interests in the arts.
Classes meet once a week on their scheduled day. Review our schedule to find out when course terms start & end, and please see the registration page for class days and times. Our school also has a generous make-up policy.
Our Drawing and Painting Fundamentals class begins with black and white drawing exercises in pencil and pen and ink. After students learn these basic skills, children advance to color using watercolor, and finally oil paints.
Our core curriculum for children and teens, offered during the day and specially tailored to homeschool families.
A popular class that focuses on character design and visual storytelling. Students may take it as part of the core curriculum, or as an independent class.
Our camps are week-long sessions held throughout the summer months for children ages 5 - 18. Camps are a great way to focus on a specific skill or project.
