2025 Terms: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall

The Art Academy operates on a quarterly schedule.

During each term, classes meet once a week for seven weeks. See your class page or review the schedule below for meeting times. We offer both online and in-person classes.

All of our classes run for 7 weeks and cost $240 per term.   

Winter 2025: January 20th – March 8th.

Spring 2025: April 7th – May 24th

Summer 2025: June 23th – August 16th
– no classes on Fourth of July week (June 29th – July 5th)

Fall 2025: October 6th – December 6th
– no classes on MEA Week (October 13th – October 18th)
– no classes on Halloween (October 31st). Make up classes will be held December 12th.
– no classes on Thanksgiving Week (November 24th – November 29th)

ONLINE CLASSES

  1. We have found that Online classes are great for students who struggle to find the motivation to work on projects at home.
  2. Everyone works on individual projects.
  3. The online classes will be held via Zoom.
  4. An invitation will be sent to participants 15 minutes before a class begins, with students entering the Zoom classroom 5 minutes before class time.
  5. We will begin with hellos, followed by one-on-one introductory comments given on each project.
  6. Throughout the class students may send photos of their work to their teacher via email.
  7. Photos will be shared and analyzed by way of the screenshare feature on Zoom. This will give everyone the opportunity to learn from other students’ projects.
  8. The class ends with an overview of projects and ideas for personalized homework if students desire to do it.
  9. We realize that The Art Academy benefits students in two distinct ways. First, there is the instruction; but equally important is the informal interaction pupils have with fellow students and teachers. To that end, EVERY online class comes with a weekly Friday Night Hangout Session. The session runs from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
    a. These Sessions form a gathering of likeminded individuals to work on projects while casually enjoying the company of others.
    b. There is always a teacher monitoring the session so students can get extra help with any challenges they may be experiencing in their artwork.
  10. Students may also use the Hangout Sessions to make up any classes that have missed throughout the term.
