  • Derwent Coloursoft black pencil (Conte 1710 HB or B are also suitable)

  • Tracing Paper in a pad (8"x10" or larger)
  • Removable/Low Tac transparent tape

Additional materials will be discussed at the first class. Your choices will depend on what media you wish to use to create your final picture.

If You Are Working In Charcoal or Painting in Oil:
• Paper (wrapped flat with cardboard backing) = Canson Mi-Teintes, 1 large sheet of each Color Paper = Oyster, Sand, Felt Grey
• Charcoal = Nitram Academie Fusians Charcoal = 1 box of each: Medium and Hard.

Please Note: If you are doing a preliminary working drawing for an oil painting the above fixative is great. However, if you are doing a finished extended charcoal consider getting Lascaux Fine Art Fixative. It’s completely clear – the best there is.
